The amazingly lush landscape of shrubbery and blooming flowers made the pool feel like an oasis, but even that wasn’t enough to combat the oppressing mid-August heat that instantly drew sweat to the surface of her skin. Drawn despite herself because she knew she shouldn’t tempt her best friend’s husband, Jenna checked to make sure the top half of her two-piece was on properly before hastening onto the stamped concrete of the pool deck.
